The operations of JTIMBER, a forest resource management company, comply with international standards for responsible forestry and sustainability, as confirmed by its FSC® and SURE certifications.
At the beginning of this year, JTIMBER successfully passed its annual FSC® audit. The certifying organisation – NEPCon OÜ – found no nonconformities during the audit. The FSC® certificate (NC-COC-071507) issued to the company confirms that JTIMBER operations comply with the requirements of the Chain of Custody standard.
JTIMBER is also certified under the SURE system, which is one of the European Commission’s officially recognised voluntary schemes for the sustainable use of biomass in electricity and heat production and throughout the supply chain. The certificate issued confirms that the company complies with the requirements of the European Union Renewable Energy Directive (RED II). SURE certification was carried out by Bureau Veritas, a global certification and inspection company.
